Terry, our 2 year old 22 pound mix, can’t WAIT to be 16. He heard that’s when he’ll be old enough to drive. Until then, he’s happy to be a passenger because, oh man, car rides are the best. Well, those and walks. Our enthusiastic adventurer is looking for his own driver/leash holder.

The shelter asked us to help Terry because he had an occasional skip when he walked. We diagnosed him with a luxated hip and loose knee-caps. After consulting with a specialist, it was determined Terry did not need surgery, and gets along comfortably despite the luxation. In fact, he only occasionally skips and has no pain on his walks.

Speaking of walks, Terry really is a big fan. He is up for on and off leash adventures and loves being active. Terry makes this easy with his perfect leash manners. He is great with other dogs, large and small, and even likes meeting them while on lead! Squirrels, on the other hand, are for chasing (everyone knows that).

At home, Terry is potty trained, crate trained and not destructive. He mastered the art of snuggling and thrives with affection. Too rainy for a walk? Terry’s entertained with squeaky toys and fetch too. Terry is respectful of cats and should be fine with kids.

Terry is heartworm negative and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives.
